Toyoko Yoshimura Obituary

Toyoko (Toby) Yoshimura, 87, peacefully passed, surrounded by family in Rocklin, CA due to Alzheimer's Disease.

Preceded by her husband, Shigeo "Sam" Yoshimura and two sisters, Fusako Matsushima and Kiyoko Tagawa, Toby left behind daughter Gayle, son-in-law Steve, two grand sons, Chris (Tiffany), Ken, great grandson, Nathan, and her siblings, Aki Tagawa, Amy Yamashiro, Masa Murakami, and Roy Tagawa.

She had a long career with the California Department of Transportation in Marysville, and, during retirement, she loved to garden and use her artistic talent, painting many beautiful scenes that captured her fancy. She lived a life of family devotion, hard work, church, and generosity. We will miss her smile and kind loving nature.

A memorial service will be held on March 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Marysville Buddhist Church located at 125 B Street, Marysville, CA.

Donations in her memory can be made to your favorite charity or to the Marysville Buddhist Church.

Oh Gayle, I am so sorry your mom is far away from you now, but grateful the two of you will one day be reunited in a place where pain, sickness, sadness and grief do not exist. I pray you will draw comfort from the many happy memories you have of her from over the years...all times you spent together.

You've done an amazing job as her caregiver, a sacrifice I know you made willingly with a heart of love.

Sending you a huge warm hug...

Love,
Stefanie
