Jon, i think of how original you were. I never met anyone like you and I know I never will! Creative, kind, incredibly smart, wickedly funny and a close friend. You inspired me to get off my butt and get active again...in music and life! I miss you...a lot! RIP my friend. Love you.

Jon was a brilliant, creative and kind man. I played in a band with him in Sioux Falls and recorded his band in Baton Rouge. I stumbled on this obituary while trying to reconnect with him. What a sad loss especially for those who loved him. He was always an inspiration to me and was very supportive. Bless him.

I remember Jon and his music, he got me interested in King Crimson in the early 70's, but I remember him most, putting in time with his mother and other high schoolers he encouraged, to socialize with the people at the Developmentally Disabled Center (sorry , that's what it was called in 1970) down on south Western Ave when we were in high school. To me, that defines the character of the man and his family.

The last time I saw Felix, they were playing Club LaRons and closed the set with Not Fade Away.

The other thing I remember was the small house he lived in on West and the ring tail Siamese cat he had. they are together again.

My dad and Jon's dad worked together and my Mom would take us to go visit his mother, who had cancer, when I was a kid and I would play with Jon when we were little. I loved his guitar playing and remember Felix Fondly. I remember the skinny guy with the big hair running down the terraces at the Terrace Park Rock Concert back in (1970?) with Deadwood as the lead band. A free spirit indeed. RIP Jon.
