John Stricklin Obituary
John was born Dec. 24, 1948 in Willard, Ohio to Robert and Joanne (Johnson) Stricklin. Following graduation from Brown Zaleski High School, John entered the United States Marine Corp in 1969 where he served two tours in Vietnam. He then joined the United States Army, retiring from the military after 30 years of service. He later retired from the state of Ohio in 2013.
John was an avid golfer and hunter. He also enjoyed working in his yard, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
John is survived by his son, John Milton Stricklin and his daughters, Erin Sue Umbehr (Joe) and Michelle Lumberson; eight grandchildren, Jenna, Preston, Asher, Gabriel, Emma, Tyler, Isaac, and Noah; his three sisters, Sherry Smith, Kathy Reynolds, and Kelly West (Terry); several nieces and nephews, and his stepdad Aaron West.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his two daughters, Barbara and Misty Howard, and his uncle John Johnson.
