In 2008 I was going through a really tough time economically. I have never met Nathan Simmons. However, I found his messages on youtube praying and preaching. I would listen every day. On October 2,2004 ...The church it's self was a historical land mark .. The power of God that permeated through Pastor Simmons out weighed
that history with respect !!!
continue to rest in our Heavenly Father's care for to be absent in body is to be present with the Lord ...Amen

Greetings,
I first heard of the prophet pastor Nathan Simmons from my classmates while attending the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University. After being blessed by his messages from the top of my head to the sole of my feet, I introduced him to my mother and sister, who has since gotten stuck on the messages we played daily. I thank God and pray for his then-wife, children, brothers and sisters, cousins, friends, god-children, and all who came to know prophet Nathan, especially his precious mother and father who brought him into this world through Jesus Christ. Thank God for knowing him after his death. Thank you, family, of the prophet Nathan.
Blessings and Favor

I learned of pastor prophet Nathan Simmons from one of my classmates at Mercer University while studying at the McAfee School of Theology. After watching his sermons, and was still being blessed from the top of my head to the sole of my feet. I then introduced him to my mother and sister, and they are blessed every day by watching his messages.
I know he is looking down even on the messages he preached. However, God needed this messenger up there with him.
Thank God for Pastor Nathan Simmons and his family, from his then-wife, sisters, and brothers to his children, mother, and father, who brought him into this world. Blessings and Favor,
Prophetess

Word cannot express how deeply you're missed in my life. The honor of serving with and for you when you would come to California specifically to New Haven Church Of God In Christ and how you personally took the time in that short time to speak into my life and the life of my wife who at that time was just my fiancee and now we're about to be 19yrs married. You taught be soo much directly and indirectly. I wish you were here to see some of the things that have manifested while waiting on the other things to manifest because you were indeed a true prophet and walked in humility. Love and miss you.

Our Brother Nathan will forever be missed by the Wilder Family. Nathan was such a help to my father, the Late Bishop Norton B. Wilder. He impacted our young people in such a positive way that many have followed his example and are serving the people of God in Ministry. Continue to rest well Nathan, well done thy good and faithful servant.

holiness is still right Pastor Simmons--You taught us not to compromise the word of GOD and most of all - you not only taught us to pray but you lead us into prayer where we can encounter GOD! You were a true servant-leader.

Pastor it is one year since you left this life, for life eternal with our Lord. Please know that your anointed word ministry continues for one in our hearts, and with countless others who are just learning of the great power of God through other sites - youtube.com, etc. Many people know of the dispensation of the power of God even as you no longer remain with us. The Word is still live and transforming lives! What a testimony! Many are just learning of your then ministry with us in this life. Thank God for your works!

Not a day goes by without us thinking of you and recalling beautiful things you've done for the saints and many of the mothers. A prayer warrior, prophetic giant and word evangelist -- thank you Sir!

We remember you coming in shouting on 2611 and at 1517 during the middle of praise and worship. We recall you laying hands on the people and the aisles would be filled. We remember how you taught us -- Who told you that God couldn't deliver? Oh how you would wail for the people and intercede openly in tongues and with tears offered up to the Lord.

Sunday night services will never be the same. Communion services were to be cherished. You reminded us Sir at the end of those services. Saints, don't let His NAME go down! Ah.. bless God!

We miss you and thanks for being a great Pastor and man of God!

My family and I are very sorry to hear of the homegoing of Pastor/Prophet Nathaniel Simmons. I say Pastor because although I was not a member of his church, I heard of the wonderful pastoring spirit that he exemplified. I say Prophet because I was honored to hear and see his prophetic gift in operation and to I know that there are countless lives that he allowed the Lord to use him to reach and that will never be forgotten. He has left a legacy for generations to follow and our prayer is that his humble, gifted and powerful anointing will continue on in the many lives that he touched including mine. Myself and my wife send our deepest love to First Lady Simmons and the family. Be comforted in knowing that we will see him again. In Christ-

First Lady Simmons:

I am "forever" greatful for the pastoral care that was given to the boys ( Joseph & Isaiah) and I during the most difficult time in my life. We love you and the girls so much... To this day my sons now 16 & 18 stop in their tracks when they here his ( Pastor Simmons) voice via (radio,tv,or tape). They call him the "micheal Jordan" of preachers, but I call him "pastor", because he pushed me to pray when I felt like giving up.

I am sad that he is not here with "us", but I accept and rejoice that he is in our Heavenly Father's ultimate care now.

Love Always, Evang. Paula Gadson & the Boys ( Joseph & Isaiah)

December 18, 2006

To First Lady Simmons, Victoria and Alexis there is so much that I can say about Pastor Simmons because he was so many things to me and my children Ervin and Qwentin. I first met Pastor when he came to my church in South Carolina to run a revival for our choir anniversary. When I moved to Atlanta, GA there was no question about where I was going to attend. I was amazed about the way church was conducted and became more aquainted with Pastor. I had the priviledge to, not only be apart of an awesome ministry by far, but also to serve the MIGHTY MAN OF GOD!! Pastor was not only my spiritual father, but a natural father figure to my two children when I lost my husband. Pastor didn't only spoke the word, he lived the word. He prayed, he fasted, he preached and he praised. It was how he said what he said to you that made you want to just live for God in a way that you never thought you could and reach for higher height's that you didn't think that you could reach! I appreciate Pastor for being a model of what a real man of God is destined to be. As a spiritual Father, he taught, corrected, he praised, but most of all he loved you as much as any Father could love his children. Knowing Pastor, I became a better parent and worshiper of God. First Lady as Pastor would say "AS LONG AS THERE'S LIFE, THERE IS HOPE" keep your head up, be encourage, keep on moving and I know you will take care of the girl's. Remember God got your back!!!

Love you First Lady Simmons

There is no way that you will read all of the entries in this log, but I offer my condolences in the hopes that as the weeks continue to flash by you will come to treasure these living momentos to the impact that you allowed your husband to have. Thank you so very much for sharing him with us.

Time is a precise, cold machine that does not regard the passing of men, great or small. It moves with deadly precision to accomplish the next second and the next. Only 2 things bring balance to time: memory and legacy. Time can never steal that. May the memory of Pastor Simmons' words and deeds and the spiritual legacy that he perpetuated live ever more vibrantly as the years pass.

I can't believe it! I knew Nathan from way back in Portsmouth, VA BEFORE he was even a pastor! He was a young evangelist who was ON FIRE like you wouldn't believe! They always teased him (the haters), but he was the single MOST INFLUENCE to me getting into ministry and now I am a Pastor of a successful church here in OHIO. I wish that I got to know him and stay in contact with him but we WILL all meet again one day and talk it over! To the family -- be STRONG IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT! we are praying for you and your strength! As Nathan would often sing -- "Let God Arise and His enemies be Scattered!"

Grace and Peace:

Lady Simmons, I recently hear of the passing of your husband, Pastor Nathaniel Simmons.
I recall the first time I met him in the year of 1989, he was so anointed and on fire for God: for he truly loved the Lord.

In addition to seeing him for first time, he would later call me out; ministering a solid word to me from the Lord. A good word that, I still ponder within my heart even unto this day.

The word of the Lord says: How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things and Pastor Simmons did just that – AMEN!

Pastor Nathaniel Simmons will be missed.

Lady Simmons, I will keep you and your love ones in my fervent prayers.

God bless you,

December 8, 2006

I started to read everyone else's comments and not write anything, but I just had to say something. I just found out about Pastor Simmons transition and going home to be with the Lord on last night which was December 7th from my husband. I only came in contact with Pastor Simmons one time which was in 1994 at the Baptist Center in Yemassee,South Carolina. He was late getting to the Center (traffic), but OH MY GOD!!!!!!! nobody in the house even cared. He came out STRAIGHT PREACHIN' LIKE A CRAZY MAN!!!!JESUS!!!! You talkin' bout the power of God!!! Think about a volcano erupting it was pure anointing !! My pastor was so stirred that we went back the next night, POWERFUL!POWERFUL!POWERFUL!!!(excuse me I got excited at the thought of it) You don't get that kind of anointing by twidling your thumbs. Now, Don't that make you wanna shout?!!!!! WHAT AN IMPACT!!!
ANYWAY!!In Pastor Simmons' honor: To His natural.and church families, and those who were touched by him, I salute you in the name of Jesus Christ God be with you through the grief process. God has a way of turning our mourning into dancing during these times. Remember HE is very near to us, and helps us go through and that he will never leave us alone. At some point during the process your thoughts will focus more on the things that meant the most to you about Pastor what he said, mannerisms etc etc.and your pain of loss will be lessoned. Though you may have to shed a tear during your melancoly( bitter sweet moments) Go through and grow through.
Peace and Love Sis.Fields

I am a single parent with one child who was recently called into the ministry in 2005, this past summer my daughter Lauren had the oppurtunity to attend Emory University for a whole month for their Youth Theological Initiative Summer program, upon arriving for the program along with 45 other youth from around the country Lauren faced great opposition but God dropped pastor Simmons spirit into mine and I called on the elders to intercede on Lauren's behalf. My contact person was Sister Jones, she began to pray and told me that I should not worry about my daughrter while she was in Atlanta.Sister Jones later called my daughter at Emory University and prayed with her. I will forever hold those memories dear to my heart and thank God for just dropping a nugget in my path in the way of Pastor Nathaniel Simmons ministry.Stay encourged and God will give you strength to make it through.

To Lady Simmons & Family and the Citadel Church congregation:

My first introduction to this great prophet/man was his sermon, WHO TOLD YOU MY GOD COULDNT DELIVER ME! Oh my GOD! I still remember that to this day. My pastor always told us WHATEVER YOU DID TO GET DELIVERED, KEEP DOING IT TO STAY DELIVERED. I read that scripture in DANIEL monthly!

I know that all these references to scripture that have been posted does not take away the fact that you are missing a person at dinner, on the drives to church, and in your pulpit. Our words can not bring back the person you miss, however, we can say in FAITH that THIS IS THE LORD'S DOING AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR SIGHT.

Sister Simmons and Family,

I was touched and blessed by the ministry of Supt. Nathan Simmons when he traveled to the Greensboro NC area. I'm sorry he had to leave us so soon, but God knows best. He was a young man that simply preached holiness and he believed in having a solid prayer life. He made an impact and there will never be another like the late great Supt. Nathan Simmons! My prayers are with you.

I will miss Prophet Nathan Simmons, He was a real Man of God and a great leader of people that were called to the Office of Prophets, we finally had an example that mattered. He did make a difference, i know you might have slept for a second or something if that long cause i know you got your shout on and on and on. Thank you for the example of how God never forgets His people and is always alive in the earth. Thru your giftings and the way you let the Lord use you, the young prophets had an example thanks, you make the earth realm more tollerable for the People of God and showed what a real calling is.
