"Kim" Dreisbach may not of been my biological grandfather but he treated me as one of his own grandchildren. That man taught me a lot in the short peirod that I known him. Even though he is not with us physically he is with us in spirit. Kim will always be alive in our hearts.

My sister said, when I told her Father Kim had died, that we had lost our "personal priest". He called my mother and father, one of whom is bedridden, the other plagued with heart disease, every day and sat for hours with me and my sisters in the uncomfortable ICU chairs at both my mother's heart surgeries. He came to the house to offer communion, he told bad, off color jokes, and filled a space I didn't even realize how big until he was gone. Our heartfelt sympathies to family and friends. He'll be sorely missed.

Father Kim was a wonderful and loving man. He was always there to help others in their time of need. Even though I only had him in my life for a short time, Father Kim truly showed me what it meant to live life to the fullest. Father Kim also gave my daughter something she never had and that was a wonderful Grandpa.
Grandpa we love and miss you deeply.

Though we had many differences (I am a rather socially and religiously conservative Southern Baptist)I always liked and respected Fr. Kim. I got to know him twenty years ago when he was running the Shroud Center at the CNN Center. Thereafter we would have dinner together 3-4 times a year when I would come to Atlanta. I also accompanied he and his wife Jane on the 1998 Shroud tour to Italy. I will greatly miss him. But now all who loved and respected him can be comforted by the fact that now he beholds Thy Holy Face.

My deepest sympathy to Father Dreisbach's family. May it bring you some peace to know that he died doing exactly what he wanted to do. Although I had to be dragged along kicking and screaming, he graciously presided over my confirmation in the Episcopal church some 30 years ago. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was one of my mother's (Almeta Gould Woodson) longterm and dearest friends and I shall always appreciate knowing I could rely on him every time I called.

I met Fr. Kim when he led a tour group to Italy to see the Shroud in 2000. His encyclopedic knowledge, combined with his inimitable sense of humor made him an excellent guide. From that time onward, he has been my dear friend. Words are inadequate to express how much I miss him. Au revoir, 'mon capitaine.'

Father Kim was my Father in Law for nearly 15 years, but he was so much more. He loved so completely and unconditionally. He was a treasure in my life and I thank God for allowing me to be a part of his life. He was my "Pops" and I will truely miss his hug. He had the best hug!

Fr. Kim taught me how to be a Christian and love life. From six years old he raised me at Church of the Incarnation, comforted and prayed with me during life's trials and always showed unyiedling love for God, my family and our church family. Thank you God for Fr. Kim! Betcha he's got a good long sermon to share!

Father Dreisbach was my dad and he was a wonderful man. He taught me many things about life and was also my best friend. His passion and zest for life was unmatched. The unselfishness he had towards others has been instilled in me. I miss him terribily and will never forget this wonderful and beautiful human being. I love you dad. Daniel

Father Kim was a wonderful "addition" to our family.
He enjoyed the "hat" sisters (Betty, Kittie & Ione), their husbands and children. He comforted us when they departed this earth. We enjoyed his "stories" at many a family gathering during the years.
It was an honor and a privilege to have known Father Dreisbach

We thoroughly enjoyed Father Kim's tour when the Shroud exhibit was at the Omni. He was a kind and gracious man. We took our oldest daughter there after her first communion, and he made a special effort to congratulate her.

One time, my partner and I had Kim and Jane over for dinner. My partner had known them for years but I was meeting them for the first time. Early in the evening, before dinner, I found myself talking alone with Kim. At some point, he asked me, "Are you Catholic or Protestant?" Feeling very awkward and a little afraid, I answered truthfully, "neither." Kim didn't miss a beat. He said, "Ahhh, a free thinker." I loved him from that moment on. And later in my life, I was confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Kim lived his belief, his faith, and his love for other creatures, both great and small. He will be greatly missed.

Father Kim opened my heart and mind to the dispossessed and excluded among us. He taught me what the true meaning of Christ's love and grace through action for social justice and equality. May the angels lead him to paradise.
