Jim Hope

Working with Jim Sands years ago, I quickly found out what his family already knew. He was a fine man who was highly regarded and well liked by all who were lucky enough to know him.
When I would ride somewhere with him, although it could sometimes take a while, it was always pleasant. He was interested in everything around him and could discuss any subject.
When my brother Jon was a child, he met Jim in a store at Toco Hills. Jon said he kept looking higher and higher till he saw his face, saying "That's the tallest man I've ever seen."
Jim was always fun, too. On a trip to Chicago, I remember visiting places on Rush Street where we joined the others singing Beatles songs and New York, New York.
The world lost a good and decent man who lived his life well.
