Enid SCHNEIDER Obituary

SCHNEIDER, Enid Hennessy Enid Hennessy Schneider, of Johns Creek, GA, Age 74, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, after a courageous two year battle against lung cancer. She was born on February 9, 1943 to the late Navy Captain James L. Hennessy and the late Jane Edgerly Hennessy at Fort Benning, GA. Enid was very active at Saint Brigid Catholic Church, had a passion for serving others and volunteered her time with multiple charities. She was a very active partner with her husband in building U.S. Security Associates and brought a loving touch to countless company gatherings. Enid had such a positive impact on everyone around her and a gift for making people feel immediately comfortable in her presence. She was filled with a special grace, charm, poise and spirit and inspired others to be better people in a kind, fun, gentle way. Her bright smile and cheerful disposition lit up any room. Enid was an accomplished artist, an avid Bridge player, lover of Scrabble and Words with Friends, had an extraordinary eye for design and style, a penchant for multiple home renovations, an incredible cook and creator of gourmet Sunday Brunches for her family and many friends. Most importantly, Enid just loved being around her family and friends, finding any excuse to get together and create memories to last a lifetime. Enid is survived by her husband of 52 years and the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Schneider, her daughter Lisa Dooling (Brian) of Johns Creek, GA, daughter Amy Ruggiero of Basking Ridge, NJ, son Charles Schneider, Jr. (Tanya) of Mountain Lakes, NJ, grandchildren Meghan, Allison, Brian, Colleen, Caitlyn, Joe, Tom, J.P., Mia, and Trey, sister Jane Slusser, of McLean, VA, brother James Hennessy (Claudia) of San Diego, CA and many extended relatives. Visitation is Sunday evening, July 9, 2017, between 5 PM and 8 PM at Roswell Funeral Home at 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Saint Brigid Catholic Church at 11 AM at 3400 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022. I am so sad to learn of Mrs. Schneider's passing. She was the epitome of class -- a gentle and talented lady. It was a great pleasure to know her and work with her on special events while I worked for Mr. Schneider at U.S. Security Associates. Those days were the best! Chuck, her children, and grandchildren are all in my prayers as they deal with such a tremendous loss.

Enid,

Touched my heart in such a special way and I really can't explain it. I met her when I was on the CRHP receiving team and she wrote me the sweetest note. We had many encounters through the years at St. Brigid and I know that now she is resting safely in the arms of her Savior.

Chuck, Lisa, Brian, Amy & Charlie,
Enid has always been an Angel on earth her whole life. She lit up every room she walked into and even lit up the phone conversation you had with her. She fought this battle with such dignity, grace and the Hennessy determination to never give up and beat it, but God decided it was time to bring his special Angel home to Heaven and watch over ALL of you from above. She has left you all with so many wonderful memories that will put smiles on your faces, make you laugh and warm your heart. She wasn't only special to your family but to so many others, she meant the world to myself and my children, to her brother & sister, all of her cousins and all of the friends in her life. She's one very special Lady that touched so many people's heart . I'll always Love ❤ and Miss you, Enid.
Love,
Missy
