One year baby, and you're not here with me. One more anniversary, that you're not here to celebrate with.
Just another day to the rest of the world, but it will never be the same for me, and those that were graced with your wonderful spirit.
It has taken me this long to get the bravery to putting my feelings out to the world, bit now it is the right time. World this was my soulmate and I will always carry his memory, heart, and soul with my own. It was my honor to be with such a perfect person. We all are flawed, but these flaws are what make us the beautiful beings we can be.
I love you, and hope Legend is being the best buddy to you! Until we meet again...
Missing you, and loving you always!

Kewyn was a wonderful person and a great friend. I will miss our semi-regular phone conversations and remember the fun and good times we shared over the years.

I paraphrase the words of Shakespeare:

"Good night sweet prince, may the flight of angels take thee to thy eternal rest."

May God's blessings and countenance be with Kewyn's family and friends in this our hour or mourning and loss.

Words cannot even begin to express how much pain is in my heart. I thought that after a few days, I would finally be able to accept that his death didn’t mean that I’d lost one of my best friends, but that God needed another angel, and what better person than him. I’m trying to find comfort in all the memories that we had, but it hurts from all the memories lost that will never be. My sincerest condolences go to his mother, to his family, and to Art. As he smiles down on you from heaven, I pray that he will give you peace and comfort during this time. And I thank each of you for making Baptiste the man that he had come to be—a true angel and my friend.

Baptiste, you will forever be in my heart! I love u!!!

To the family of Kewyn Baptiste:

May God's Blessings be with you. Kewyn was a wonderful person. I had the pleasure of knowing him through my son, Elray as well as being a member of the New York City Department of Corrections. I spoke with him about 2 weeks ago about some island foods that he loved so well. I will miss him.

Poised with grace and perfection as he presented colors at the 2006 National Law Enforcement honor guard competition speaks volume of who he was; an officer and gentleman. To his fellow brothers and sisters of the Atlanta Police Honor Guard; I know it seems hard now but God is caring all of you right now. When it’s time to make the final salute Baptiste will be smiling down on you; knowing he was part of such an ELITE group.

Please take comfort in knowing that God is an awesome God and there is healing in the name JESUS.
