Mr. Winston, you were nice to my mom & I when we were in Las Vegas at Auntie Gladys' house. You gave a ride here & there and made us laugh. May you receive God's continued blessings in Heaven.

We recently learned of Winston's passing and wish to extend our sympathies to his family. He was so gentlemanly and polite and such a professional in his semi-retirement.
He did some landscaping and car valeting for us and always made everything look spectacular and brought amazing sparkle to two well worn family vehicles. He also supervised the check up of one of the cars before an extended lengthy car trip. He gave 4 ladies on the road a great feeling of security knowing that he had made the car safe for the long distance journey. His passing has brought us all sadness.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Joya,
I haven't as of yet met you, but I have intentions of rectifying this as soon as possible.

Thank you Uncle Winston for the love and joy that you gave me and my family.Thank you so much for all that you said and have done over the years. It pains me that both you and my grandfather who both gave me the pep talk on changing my ways as a troubled teen didn't get a chance to see me succeed in life, But I know deep down that you both will know by looking down on me. I promise I won't let you down.My prays go out to the family an much love to Joya. Thank you Joya for giving Uncle Winston my card, I love you and if you need me for anything I am there for you. My dear Winston you were such a fine fellow. It was no accident that our paths crossed in this life, for I believe it was the providence of God to enrich my life and teach me how to be a better person. I will always cherish the many years of making music with you and cousin Stanley and the guys in Night Shift. You live on always in the hearts of those you have touched. I am a better person for having known you. May your family find comfort in these difficult days. Until we meet again my friend.

Life is but a stopping place, a pause of what's to be; A resting place along the road to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay. Our destination is a place far greater than we know. For some the jouney's quicker, for some the jouney's slow. And when the journey finally ends, we'll claim a great reward; and find an everlasting peace together with the Lord. -(Anonymous)
May you find peace and comfort in this your time of bereavement. We are praying for you.

So long, Winnie, my friend. I will miss seeing you walk Splinter through the neighborhood, chatting while you work in a yard, solving the world’s problems over a drink, laughing it up with you and Al, and knowing that if I ever needed anything at any time, all I had to do was to call you and Joya – you proved that more than once.
Thank you for everything. Your friendship, your generosity and your kindness mean more to me than I can ever say. I hope to see you again someday, Winnie. In the meantime, I’m sure you’ve already found a good fishing spot.

Uncle Winston,
The things that I remember most was the happiness and joy you brought to our family. It was really a great thing to know that my parents had a friend and confidant that they could call on. You were always a bright person and you sure did make everyone around you happy. Thank you for a wonderful experience and impact you had on everyone you came across.
Love always,
Lil' Flot

Today, I can only SMILE, closing my eyes and reminiscing back - visits (as a child) to Uncle Winston's house:
Non-stop laughter and good times were had by all...Well okay, mostly THE ADULTS...but I always enjoyed myself, anyway; maybe it was the funny stories I'd hear about my parents,
from "back in the day"...
Uncle Winston-
I'll miss the sound of your laugh, the most. I'll miss the smile of your eyes behind those glasses. I'll imagine you in that fishing hat, walking up the driveway to the house after waving, "Y'all come back now..."
I'll just keep on looking forward to the next time we'll get a chance to see you again...just like when I was a little girl.
I love you and thanks for the forever memories.

Winston Meadows, my high school friend and confidant. How sad it is to lose you so soon. Your smile, your wisdom at an early age, your caring, your willingness to listen. I'm talking about 50 years ago. I will remember many things about you but that beautiful tenor voice stands out. We were in the choir under Mr. Barker at Archer. I will also remember you giving me my first driving lesson. I was heading toward a tree and you told me to put my foot on the brake. I said I was pushing it and you quietly said push harder. Magically the car stopped inches from the tree. You told me that was enough for that day. You never let me drive again. I often wondered why. My high school friend, you will be remembered. To the family, I am so sorry for your loss.
