CARR, William WILLIAM BILL CARR Mr. William Bill Carr, age 77, of Braselton, GA and formerly of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dessie Carr; brothers and sister-in-law, James and Hilda Carr and Charles Carr; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bryan Black; and granddaughter, Dana Everett. He is survived by his wife of 33 years: Mrs. Lora Duncan Carr, Braselton, GA; sons and daughter-in-law: Michael and Kristy Carr, Prescott, AZ. William Billy Carr, Marietta, GA; stepdaughter: Florence and Jim Garmon, Braselton, GA; stepson: Eric and Beverly Duncan, Commerce, GA; grandchildren: Michael and Jamie Carr, Cody and Laura Carr, Haley Rose Carr, Caleb Garmon, Ben Garmon, Israel Garmon, Noemi Garmon, Leslie Garmon, James Garmon, Julie and Ronnie Garmon, Rita and Philip Worley; 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Virginia Carr; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Carr was born July 22, 1930 in Cleburne County, AL. He was a member of the Old Tech High School of Atlanta and a member of the Alumni Association. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Duluth American Legion Post. He was retired supervisor from the City of Atlanta, Sanitation Dept. after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buford. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Appling officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northeast Georgia Hospice or to the Leukemia Society in memory of Bill Carr.
