It was my most sincere pleasure and good fortune to have known Evan personally and professionally for the last 40 years of his life. His picture above says it all...his friendly, genuine, welcoming smile was part of whom he was with everyone. Oh, how I miss you Evan! I will see you again, but not yet, not yet...

I first met Evan Jennings when I moved to Atlanta in 1984 and purchased his condo...we immediately felt a bond with each other that has lasted to the day he left us....and will last as long as I live..over that period of years Evan and I had numerous encounters as we met at our favorite places for breakfast and lunch meetings, mainly the OK Cafe, Houstons and the Blue Ridge Grill...to discuss life and business issues as men are wont to do...sometimes even painful personal issues that he invited me into his inner circle to advise and mentor him, weoften prayed about those issues...I invited him many times to my Friday morning mens fellowdhip that he enjoyed attending on many occasions. He sought my advice on a billboard lease that he did and is still getting a check for...we spoke about these events in his last days and a big ole grin came across his face...and he squeezed my hand in agreement, as he could barely whisper in my ear. Evan called me in September, 2008 and shared with me some tough news...about his tumor diagnosis and the potential statistical outcome...we began a fellowship that was encouraging, challenging and with a few laughs...and tears. He wanted me to tell all that I encountered that he had given his heart to Jesus many years ago and after all those years tried always to be the best he could be, sinner that we all are....I loved Evan Jennings and often told him so...as we hugged, laughed and cried those last days...and that I would see him in Heaven some day...he would grin and squeeze my hand...again.
We don't know why God chose to call Evan home at this most vibrant time of his life as that is His mystery and plan for our lives...but at this very moment...Evan knows!

Jennings family, I had the honor and privilege of being Evan's office manager at The Apartment Group until the merger with Cushman & Wakefield. Evan was one of the best bosses I ever had and I have great memories of working deals with him and Chris and Larry. I was crushed to hear of his illness and passing. My prayers are with your family.

Evan always cared for other above himself. He helped my family by donating to my nieces cancer fundraiser Princess Olivia Lior Wampler. Her cancer is in remission and many thanks go out to caring people like Evan Jennings. He was more worried about her and her cancer more so than his own.

Jennings Family: I never have the honor to meet your father, but I would like to express my condolences because after reading his wonderful obit I was inspired to leave you a message! I wish I had the honor of meeting such a great man! I only wish I had the inspiration to be just a sliver as great as he. God Bless you all. Peace be with you all.
