I had the pleasure of meeting Chad a couple of times, basically whenever he needed parts for his boat, and you could tell right away he was a people person. I did not even know he was in law enforcement until the second or third time I met him. Once I saw him pull in driving his patrol car, we struck up a conversation about what he did. I knew right away he loved his job and was very good at what he did. I thank him for the sacrifice he made to keep us all safe. May God help the LeCroy family find peace and meaning in this unfortunate tragedy.

Some say this isn't the place but I want to share this. I knew Chad thru my cousin Johnny Ard, they came down a few years ago and played softball with us. He kept everyone laughing! Great guy and alot of fun to be around. "BAD CHAD" I just got the call from Johnny to hear this tragic story. I am so sorry for your loss. I know he will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers from my family to yours. May God shead his grace on your family. The Georgia State Patrol lost a member that truly loved his job, which knowing how he talked of it was not a job...It was his other LOVE! May God Bless your Family!!

Officer Lecroy performed a job with selfless anticipation of a better community for each of us to live in. He gave his life as a commitment to that goal. While I did not know this young man personally, I know of his courage as it is seen in the face of many soldiers and other law enforcement individuals who also say yes to this great and noble cause of service. To his family - may you find peace in the knowledge that Officer Lecroy's death, albeit devastating, saved others' lives from the evil that took his'. May God grant you long and wonderful memories.
