Family-Placed Death Notice
GALANTI, Isaac R. Isaac R. Galanti, 88, of Atlanta, died May 5, 2011. Survivors include his loving wife, Ila Greenberg Galanti; sons and daughters-in-law Randy and Janet Galanti of Atlanta and Jeff and Jeannie Galanti of Canton, daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Scott Brenner of Suffern, NY; brother and sisters-in-law Sam and Ann Galanti and Rachel Galanti, Atlanta; grandchildren: Todd (Julia) Galanti, Eric (Allison) Galanti, Christy (Gates) Nash, Jeremy (Stephanie) Galanti, Tiffany (Russ) Edwards, Adam and Molly Brenner; great grandchildren Stella, Ileana, Alaira, Jackson and Braden. Mr. Galanti was an Atlanta native. He and his wife, Ila, were married January 28, 1945 and enjoyed 66 years of blissful marriage. After serving in the army during WWII, Mr. Galanti and his beloved brothers ran retail grocery and liquor businesses for many years. Mr. Galanti was actively involved in the Bikur Holim at his synagogue, Congregation Or VeShalom. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. A graveside service will be held TODAY, Friday, May 6, 2011 at 3 pm at Arlington Memorial Park with Rabbi Hayyim Kassorla officiating. Uncle Isaac and Aunt Ila have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I love them both dearly. No matter the occasion, they always have been front and center to show their love and support. Today, I honor my great uncle and send him eternal love and gratitude.
