Ron Ito was a wonderful man, a respectful son, a devoted husband, a loving father and a great doctor. My husband, Charles and I were family friends, but when my husband had heart surgery, Ron and his family came to see us. He was such a compassionate and loving man and continues to be missed.

I can't believe it has been 8 years since I lost the best Doctor ever. I miss him more than ever. I have been to several Dr.s since Dr. Ito passed away. Not a single one of those Dr.s come close to being as great and caring as Dr. Ito. I knew, without a doubt, that Dr. Ito truly cared about me. He listened to me and ALWAYS made me feel like I was the most important patient he had. He made ALL of his patients feel like this. I miss you Dr. Ito. I don't think I will ever have a Doctor like you ever again.

Dr. Ito will be truly missed! A good doctor is very hard to find...one that will listen, hear you, and heal you. And Dr. Ito was all that and more. God speed my friend - you are/were a special man.

I visited his practice about a month ago. He exuded his usual warmth and prize winning smile and chuckle that he was famous for. He had a great bedside manner and will be greatly missed. Dr Ito has been my personal physician for over 5 years. I am shocked and saddened by his passing and my family will be praying for his wife and children. May his soul rest in peace.

I was taken aback by the news of Dr. Ito's death. When my family and I moved here from Chicago he was starting his practice and my kids grew up with him as their doctor. Then my granddaugther became his patience and he always made us feel like part of his family. He shared with us the birth of all of his kids and I shared with him the birth of my grandchildren and the acomplishments of my children. All our thoughts and prayers go yo his wife, children and his family. God bless you Dr. Ito. We will allways love you

Dr. Ito was a great doctor. When I moved to Georgia in 2002, he became my primary physician. I am truly sadden by the news as I just received a letter from Greater Gwinnett Internal Medicine. He was a caring and concerned doctor and only told me things I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. He will truly be missed and Mrs. Ito and his children are in my prayers.

We are heartbroken and saddened to hear of the loss of a wonderful and caring Doctor. I first met Dr. Ito when he was an intern. He has been our Doctor for more than 15 years and as everyone has said, he not only showed concern with our present illness, but spent time catching up on our family. He spoke lovingly of his wife and children and one could tell he was a dedicated husband and father. May your hearts be comforted during this difficult time.

My children have been Dr Ito's patients for 9 years with the same wonderful care I am sure he gave to each of his patients. I was always so appreciative of the time he took to talk to my boys about who they are, what their goals are, and to encourage them. It was clear that there was a special and caring person behind that diploma. I am grateful for the opportunity we had to know him.

I haven't seen Ronnie since graduation night of 1982, but true to so many of the entries in this memory book, he is not the kind of person that you forget easily. His care and concern for others was apparent early - as even in high school, he was a nurturing soul - always quick to lend an empathetic ear or an encouraging word. Laughter was his constant companion - spontaneous and free - even in the most unexpected places (like in a darkened movie theater watching The Shining). Reading about his life - and his commitment to his wife, children, family, patients, community, and faith - is certainly no surprise. That is, I expect, what those of us who knew him then would have imagined for this gracious and kind man. To his wife and children, and all who loved him, I pray God's strength and healing power to be with you in the days ahead. May God always remind you that this is not the end . . . as we know from Scripture "Weeping shall endure for a night, but joy shall come in the morning." It will come, as you continue to embrace his memory and impact in this life and, eventually, in that glorious moment when you see him again. God bless. Becky Hall, Columbus High School classmate

I am so distressed and heartbroken over the loss of Dr. Ito. I have never had a doctor like him and probably never will. He always made me feel as if I was his most important patient. He was so concerned for my well being, and never rushed me to go to the next patient. I don't know what I am going to do, he can not be replaced. I am truly sorry for his family (personal and at the office). My thoughts and prayers to everyone who loved this wonderful man. I will miss you Dr. Ito...........you were my doctor, and my friend.

Shocked and heartbroken when I learned Dr. Ito has suddenly died this week. He has been my doctor and friend for 14 years, and he treated my children too. We shared the same birth date just a year apart in age. He had the most wonderful caring heart, and he took such good care of everyone. My tears flow as I write this message, and there is such sadness in my heart along with emptiness with his passing. He spoke highly of his children and wife regularly, and he was a man of God. I will look forward to seeing him again one day. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family and children. The community has lost an extordinary person. I will miss him dearly, and I am thankful to have known him. God Bless

This is a great loss for my husband, my son, and I. Dr. Ito have been our primary care physician for the past twenty years. His bed side manners and empathy is more that we can express. We knew Dr. Ito was our primary care physician but we felt he was also our friend as well. He always took time and patience to sit and educate his patients, or just to have a friendly conversation no matter how busy he was. I felt that once you became his patient you were his friend and patient for life. My condolence goes out to Dr. Ito's entire family and staff. He will be truly missed. Georgia has lost a fantastic awesome Dr. My family will truly miss you.

I have felt a great sadness over this past week with the tragic loss of Dr. Ito. He was my doctor for more than 12 years and helped me through many big events in my life, as well as a terrible car accident. Dr. Ito always talked about his family (he loved to share photos) and treated his patients like they were part of his family. He never forgot the last conversation we had and always asked detailed questions out of concern about your every day life. I was always greeted with a smile, a hug, and a "hello dear." Our community has lost a great leader and friend. Dr. Ito loved life and lived it to its fullest. He was a Christan man who truly cared about everyone he met. I will never forget his caring ways. I will continue to pray for his wife and children. Words cannot express my deepest sympathies to all of his family. God has just added a true angel in Heaven.
