Dearest Uncle Woodrow,

You are so dear to so many. The church was filled to the brim as we said goodbye this afternoon. Your funeral was beautiful and so meaningful with down home music and personal remembrances. I am so proud you were my uncle and appreciate all of the love you showed me. Thank you for the many stories over the years: gold nuggets, sweeping staircases, boarding houses... Thank you for representing that GREAT generation for so long and for so well. You were the perfect gentleman and always dressed to perfection! Thank you for always wanting a dessert with dinner - it made it easier for all of us to splurge. Thank you for saying the sweetest things about Aunt Gin as it was easy to see she stole your heart all those years ago. Thank you for sharing heart-felt memories of my Grandma and her family. It always made me proud to know you two were in business together before the war. I have many fond memories of visiting your store in Ellijay as a child and your home in Jasper - except for being scared of Prissy the dog. As sad as I am, I KNOW you are in heaven at a big table passing fried chicken, creamed corn, and lots of pies among loved ones, both family and friends. You will be missed so and ever an embodiment of your beloved Dahlonega.

Your great niece and her family,
Jennifer, Ashley, Madison and Mason Mims

To the wonderful , devoted family of Mr. Woodrow. I always told him he was the " King" of Dahlonega, Ga.
He loved everyone and made everyone feel so special when they came in the store.
He would call over to where I worked and say "Let me talk to the Garden of Eden" Barbara. How special is that?
Mr. Woodrow please keep watching over all of us. You are our angel. Love to you and I will miss our chats!
