Ed HOOD Obituary

HOOD, Ed Mr. Ed Hood, 71, of Kennesaw, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. His funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, April 3rd at New Hope United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA with Rev. Larry Patton officiating. The family will have visitation at the Church from 12 NOON until 1 PM. Burial will be at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hood was a graduate of Fulton High School and received his degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He retired from Lockheed-Martin in 2006 after 40 years and 4 months service. Mr. Hood was preceded in death by his parents, John & Blanche Hood and his brother, John Woodie Hood. Survivors include his wife, Janice Wells Hood of Kennesaw, GA; sons & daughter-in-law, Ryan & Lauren Hood of Smyrna, Chip Morrow of Braselton; daughter & son-in-law, Kari & Scott King of Newnan, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Olin & Ruth Ann Hood of Hiawassee, GA; grandchildren, Alex, Riley & Asher Edwin Hood & several nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: New Hope United Methodist Church, 4815 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville GA 30506. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 PM & 6 - 8 PM, Thursday, April 2nd at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924.
