Ralph Benator Obituary


Family-Placed Death Notice

Mr. Ralph V. Benator, 78, a native Atlantan, died May 15, 2004. Mr. Benator was the son of Victor and Estrea Benator. He graduated from Commercial High School and served in the Army during World War II in Europe. After the army, he attended and graduated from the University of Georgia and subsequently got his law degree. He co-founded the CPA firm Kanes, Benator and Co. where he served his client base for over 50 years until his passing. He was a life long and active member of Congregation Or VeShalom serving as both president and Gabbai. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Doris Wiener Benator, Atlanta; his son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Deborah Benator, Atlanta; daughters, Sheri Benator, Redondo Beach, California; Randi Benator, Marin County, California; siblings, Josiah Benator, Alice Wiener, Emily Levine, and Vicky Braverman; granddaughters, Erin and Sydney Benator and numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. His brother Morris Benator predeceased him. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 17 at 3:30 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park with Rabbi Hayyim Kassorla and Rabbi S. Robert Ichay officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Congregation Or VeShalom. Arrangements by Dressler's Jewish Funeral Care of Eternal Light, Atlanta, GA 770-451-4999.

It has truly been an honor to have worked for Mr. Benator for the past twelve years at Kanes, Benator & Company, L.L.C. He was one of the kindest and most cheerful gentlemen I have ever had the privilege of working for, a man of true character and integrity. He will be greatly missed by all of us. May he rest in peace.
