Anthony Talamo Obituary

AUBURN | Anthony "Tony" Talamo, 82, of Auburn Heights, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Finger Lakes Center for Living. He was born on August 13, 1930, in Oswego, the son of the late Frank and Marian Tardibone Talamo and had resided in Auburn for most of his life. In 1952, Tony began employment at Worden's Paint Headquarters in Auburn. He later would become the company's owner. Many of his friends, will remember him as “Tony from Worden's.� He was very talented and gifted at his profession and especially specialized at paint color matching, wallpaper and window treatments. Tony was a long-time member of Highland Golf Course and enjoyed many great times there with his many dear friends. Tony will be forever remembered for his enduring smile and charismatic charm. He was a truly special person to be around and will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to know this great man! He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley Mammoliti Talamo and a son, James (Susan) Talamo, both of Auburn; two daughters, Cynthia Fox, of Mercer Island, Wash., Jackie Rinkle, of St. Peters, Mo.; a brother, George (Billie) Talamo, of Florida; two granddaughters, Lisa (Eric) Robinson, of New York, N.Y., and Lynnette Gleason, of St. Peters, Mo.; a great-grandson, Matthew Anthony Robinson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins in the Oswego area. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by a sister, Dominica 'Minnie' Talamo Jung. Private family services will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be sent in Tony's memory to either Finger Lakes Center for Living, 20 Park Ave., Auburn, NY 13021 or to Northbrook Heights Residential Care Home, 170 Murray St., Auburn,NY 13021 or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by Pettigrass Funeral Home.

Dear Shirley, Jim, Jackie & Cindy,
