I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Captain Tommy Cox in the Augusta Fire Department. Tommy was a light in the office everyday. I always looked forward to seeing him and his shy smile in the morning. Tommy was a man of God and God's light shined through him. May he rest in peace and his family and his fire department family find solace in each other.

Sandra, praying for you and the entire family today. Tommy was a fine man and his life was the fire department, but he cared for all the firefighters more. I worked with him after consolidation and I moved downtown from the old County headquarters on Richmond Hill Road.
Capt Cox was so easy to work with and to get to know. He was very helpful to everyone. He will be so missed in the department.
