Jo, showed courage, great spirit, and peace to those around her in her last months. She had a smile that was infective. We will miss her, and the girls in her class will especially miss her on our day out. Her funeral was inspirational and the singers (menenites) were wonderful. I loved the tribute of kindnesses, lives touched and her skills of nursing, expressed at the funeral. We will all be better for having known such a sweet spirit.

Growing up in Washington-Wilkes with Jo, and all of our classmates, I too want to express my condolence to her friends, and family. I will always remember her friendship, her great smile, and boundless energy. She will be missed by all.

Jo and I go back forever - we were class mates through high school in Washington, GA. In the 1970's, I would see them at "tracter pulls", where Jimmy would compete on his IH tractor against JD tractors of my customers! I will miss them both.

Jo and I grew up in church together from the time we were Sunbeams through GA's in Washington until we graduated in 1960. She was such a gentle person who had a lovely, lovely smile. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.

She was the most wonderful lady to have known, and I am a more blessed person to have had the chance to get to knew your mom threw you guys.
I remember she always had a smile on her face when I would see her and she was always so glad to see you, and giving you huges.. I also remember Mrs Jo being at all the football, basketball or any games and those road trips she was always making the road trips with the team and having so much fun being a big cheerleader and so supportive of our teams.
