Martha Nell Mixon Warnock

SWAINSBORO, Ga. - PeeblesCurry-Durden Mortuary announces the death of Martha Nell Mixon Warnock, age 84, of Swainsboro, on Friday, November 11, 2005, at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral services are Saturday, November 12, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro with Rev. Robert Anderson and Dr. Robert Blankenship officiating. Interment will be in the Tarrytown Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. Pallbearers are J.T. Warnock, John Harris, Johnny Mixon, Jimmy Reagan, Fred Warnock and Steve Warnock. Honorary Escorts are members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and members of the First Baptist Church Choir. Mrs. Warnock was a native of Montgomery County and a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Fidelis Sunday School Class, the Adult Choir, the Happy Rovers and avolunteer at the Emanuel Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband, James Tillman Warnock. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jim and Paulette Warnock and Bill Warnock of Soperton, Ga. and Ken and Denise Warnock of Swainsboro; two sisters, Judy M. Harris of Cordele, Ga. and Fannie Bell M. Warnock of Terrytown, Ga.; six grandchildren, J.T. Warnock of Soperton, Ga., Tina Parham and Brittney Warnock both of Marietta, Ga., Brooke McBride of Twin City, Ga., Brandi Warnock of Statesboro, Ga. and Cameron Warnock of Swainsboro; four great-grandchildren; two special friends, Emma Brown and Sara B. Waters . Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 240 W. Main St., Swainsboro.
