James Dyches Obituary

Entered into rest Tuesday, January 31, 2017, James D. Dyches Sr, age 76, loving husband of 53 years to the late Patsy Cliett Dyches.

Mr. Dyches was born in Blackville, SC but was a lifelong resident of Augusta. He was a loving father that was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a good Christian man that touched many lives and was a member of West Acres Baptist Church. He was a professional truck driver working for several companies, retiring after 40 years.

Family members include son: James Dyches, Jr. (Claudell); daughter: Tammy Dyches Foss (Tony); grandchildren: Scott, (Nicole), Hollynd, Noah and Wesley; great-granddaughters: Sophie, Poppy; sister: Mary Horne, brother in law: Bobby Cliett (Rena); sister-in- law: Barbara Cliett.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Burial at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tony Foss, Noah and Wesley Foss, Scott Dyches, Jody Dyches and Charles Allen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Acres Baptist Church, Love Offering for Jesus, 555 Gibbs Road, Evans, GA 30809.
