John Mansperger Obituary
Age 80. Dick Mansperger passed away June 12 at his home in Ramah, NM. He was born May 7, 1933 in Hemet, CA. Dick was a player on the 1956 and 1957 ASU Sun Devil football teams and later served as an assistant coach for Frank Kush. He also held coaching positions at UCLA, Iowa, West Texas State and Palo Verde College. Dick served as a lieutenant in the Army Airborne Division from 1953 to 1956. He also had a lengthy career spanning some 26 years as Director of Player Personnel for both the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys. Dick is survived by his daughter, Genna of Nashville, TN, brothers Larry (Pam) of Ramah, NM and Jim (Jane) of Tempe, AZ and his sister Linda Shoppe (Dave) of Hemet, CA. Arrangements by Rollie Mortuary, Gallup NM. A remembrance gathering will be held at Monti's La Casa Vieja on Mill Avenue in Tempe on Wednesday, July 10th from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. If you plan to attend please RSVP to Jim at 602-531-0856. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of your choice in Dick's name.
