I am part of a network of "oldtimers" and we try to keep everyone informed about the good and bad events affecting our friends. Al was a very nice, nice person and he was liked by so many at the bank. It was a medical tragedy that he has had to go through so much but thank goodness for the years he got through transplant. It was best said by Linda Papa who wrote me by email after I announced his death to the group: "He was a joyful, kind and generous man who loved his wife and his children. I enjoyed having a cubicle next to Al who was part of the original "Small Banks" team. His good nature and great sense of humor made him the prey of his peers and I can remember with a smile and tears now his laughter as he would uncover yet another prank played on him by Lee Pfannenstiel and Darryl Reed. Heaven is richer with his passing but we are blessed with the wonderful memories he left." Linda Papa
