Charles Laverne Marlow

Charles Laverne Marlow, known to family and countless friends as "Chuck" died at his home in Globe on Saturday evening surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was 73 years old. Chuck married Bev Mounce on December 16, 1952 and was enlisted in the United States Airforce. Chuck and Bev enjoyed 51 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by Bev in 2004. A retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #518, Chuck was a skilled electrician. He was the owner, builder and operator of the Liquor Stable Bar at the Wild West Center. He also owned the South Forty Saloon and Roping Arena. Chuck was a rancher, roper and former Globe Sheriff's Posse Member. In 2005 Chuck moved to Pie Town, New Mexico and enjoyed being in the wide-open spaces. It is in Pie Town he met his special friend, Jeanne Nelson. He is survived by his four children. Sons: Tommy (Stacey), Dan (Janice), Rod (Janiene), and only daughter Tracie (Tristen), and a special nephew Mike Marlow. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Tiffany, Kellen, Mallory, Tanner, Chelsea, and Tara. He also has four great-grandchildren and his sister Gwen Nowlin. A brother, Jack Marlow, preceded him in death. Services are being handled by Lamont Mortuary in Globe, Arizona.
