Ryan Reid Obituary

Ryan Patrick Reid Ryan Patrick Reid, 21, of Phoenix, passed away on February 5, 2005. Ryan was born on June 7, 1983 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Junior at Northern Arizona University and was a proud member of the Theta Rho Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Being a Pike brought him so much joy. He was also blessed with many other amazing friends. He graduated from Brophy College Preparatory, Phoenix, in 2002, where he participated in Kairos retreat, Mazatlan trips, and lacrosse. Like his father, he was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. Ryan had a mischievous sense of humor and he charmed everyone he met. He was a master of the catch phrase for every occasion. He lived each day to its fullest, with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. Above all, Ryan loved his family and never hesitated to tell them so. Once meeting Ryan is forever remembering him. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Margaret Ehrhart, and his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth H. Reid. He lives on through his parents James T. and Ellen M. Reid, and his beloved sister, Katie Reid. Also, he leaves his grandfather Joseph P. Reid, aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts, great uncles and numerous fraternity brothers and friends. A visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 9th at the Brophy College Preparatory Chapel located at 4701 North Central Avenue, Phoenix. A rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 10th, at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix. Interment will follow the funeral Mass at St. Francis Cemetery. In keeping with Ryan being a man for others, contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Brophy Scholarship Fund in honor of Ryan P. Reid. Ryan's family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for all the love and support shown by his family, friends and fraternity brothers.
