William Baar Obituary

Baar, William R.
Of Scottsdale, Arizona went to his Lord on October 7, 2011 after a short illness. Born in Chicago, Illinois on January 18, 1927, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1945-1946 after high school graduation. Following the war he attended Illinois State. He married Dorothy Kurth on January 11, 1948. This year they celebrated 63 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife; four children: Gretchen Baar of Seattle, Washington, Rebecca (Tom) Fraker of Scottsdale, Arizona, Christopher (Carri) Baar of Fountain Valley, California, and Rachel (Scott) Sahlman of Scottsdale, Arizona; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Bill and Dorothy moved to Scottsdale in 1991 and last year moved to Westminster Village. He was a member of Desert View Bible Church. Services will be held at Westminster Village, 12000 North 90th Street, Scottsdale on Tuesday, October 11 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Westminster Foundation.
