Connie O'Connor Obituary

O'Connor, Connie
90 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on January 15, 2014. Connie was born February 21, 1923 in Lennox, South Dakota and was surrounded by his family when he passed away. He had close to 91 years to celebrate his life and the many things he accomplished. A man of many talents and loved telling stories to everyone he met. He played professional basketball and baseball, formerly owned and operated a newspaper in Iowa and in 1958 moved to Phoenix to sell new homes and later became homebuilder / developer in The Valley of the Sun. When not playing golf he loved spending time at his house in Del Mar California and deep sea fishing. After retiring to Sedona, he started making beautiful pottery. The love of his life was his four daughters and he is survived by Candee O'Connor, Connie Kay Casement (Allan), Callie O'Connor and Cindy Milner. He has 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Kitty (Keke) O'Connor. His family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on January 28th at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Regency Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Prime Care Hospice.
