Esther Irene Whitney

Services: Wed., Feb. 16, 11 a.m.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 Tuesday February 15th at Greenlawn Mortuary, Graveside Services will be at Greenlawn Mortuary, at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005.

Esther was born August 17, 1917 to Jacob and Amelia Haberman in Lincoln, Neb. She passed away at the Beverly Manor Nursing home. Her husband Fred of 43 years preceded her in death in 1995. Her parents, four brothers and 3 sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include, sisters Caroline Haas of Rifle, CO, brothers Fred and Barbara Haberman of Oak View, CO, Robert and Patsy Haberman of Northglenn, CO, Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Esther moved from Lincoln, Nebraska to Lost Springs, Wyoming in 1918, living there until moving to California as a young lady. She was in Fresno where she met and married Fred. They moved to Bakersfield where she worked at the Bakersfield Inn, a dental assistant, and later owned and operated a beauty shop for 18 years before retiring. She and Fred were active in bowling and the Eagles. After Freds passing Esther enjoyed her family and many friends. Her most enjoyment was going to Las Vegas. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Esther.
