Services will be held at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Ln., Thursday, October 16 at 10 a.m., for Helen F. Lanterman, 84, who passed away October 12, 2003 in Bakersfield. Rev. Pauline Orton will officiate.
Helen was born August 18, 1919 in Vernon, Texas and resided in Kern County for 67 years. She was a Hotel Housekeeper for forty years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jean McClintock. Helen is survived by her children, Tommy Harris of Bakersfield, JoAnn Cobb of Bakersfield, Jerry Harris of Tehachapi, Rickey Harris of Bakersfield and Vickie Orton of Seattle, Washington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Claybrook of Palm Springs; sisters, Rosalie of Long Beach and Mary Armstrong of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will begin Wednesday, October 15 at Noon.
