Leota Dillon Obituary

Leota Iva Dillon 1938 - 2010 Lee was born on November 5, 1938 and joined her mother in Heaven on January 12, 2010, at the age of 71. She was born in Bakersfield, CA where she lived most of her life. She retired in 2004 from Calcot Ltd. after 33 years. She was a member of Eagles FOE 93 since 1997 where she became Past Madam President. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Heath and Jeff; son, David Dillon and Krysta; son, Mike Dillon and April; grandchildren, Joseph, Jason, Jenna, Josh, Kourtnee, Kaden, Payton, Presly, and her 'lil man' Garrett. Lee was a hard working woman her whole life. You could count on her for anything. She always had a funny joke or a story to tell. If there was music playing you could bet she was on the dance floor. She loved spending time with her friends who were like family at the Eagles. Since she retired her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We will be celebrating her life on Wednesday, January, 20, at 1:00 p.m., at the Eagles Hall 1718 17th Street. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to: Eagles Charity Aerie FOE 93 Diabetes Fund Attn.: Ed Millard, 1718 17th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301.

To all of us that knew her she was a bright light in our hearts and souls. To Mike, David, and Linda she was Mom. I know this is hard to do. For me it is also hard because she was my Aunt.

To Leota's Family,
I was sorry to hear of Leota's passing. Leota was a wonderful, caring person and a joy to be around. Leota was the FOE #93 Auxiliary President when I was initiated and she welcomed me with open arms. She always had a joke or funny story to tell. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Leota will be greatly missed. May your memories of Leota always keep a smile on your face. God Bless all of you.
Sincerely,
Ruth Mora

To the family of Leota,
I was saddened to hear of Leota's passing. I went to Beardsley School with her and also North High. She was one of the friendliest and sweetest friends I had. I just saw her in October at North High's 50th year reunion. I gave her a hug; I was so happy to see her! She was sitting with one of her sons, and I thought how very special it was for him to have brought her and be with her on such a special occasion. What a beautiful memory he can keep in his heart of such a wonderful mother. My love and prayers are with you all in this very difficult time.
Sincerely, Darlene Smith (Peters)

To Lee's Family,
I met and knew Lee so many years ago at Calcot, Ltd. She was always the life of the Parties held there during Christmas & New Years and such a loving and caring person. Such a hard worker who was always there to do her job and a great member of the Sample Control group. She will be dearly missed by all her co-workers.
Sincerely.
