Pablo Echeverria

Pablo Echeverria April 10, 1934 - December 18, 2011 Pablo Echeverria, 77, of Bakersfield passed away on December 18, 2011. He was one of seven siblings, born in Amaiur, Spain, on April 10, 1934. He immigrated to California with his brother, Carlos, in 1952. Pablo worked in Chino as a milker for several years before starting his first dairy in Westminster with his brothers, Carlos and Juanito, in 1958. After moving the business to Artesia, he and his brothers settled in the Chino-Corona area in the late 1960s. At the time of his death, Pablo was living at the dairy he and his sons established in Bakersfield. Pablo was a longtime member of the Chino Basque Club, California Dairies, Inc., and Dairy Farmers of America. He enjoyed socializing with his many friends and family, especially discussing the dairy business with friends at the local donut shops. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren. Pablo is survived by his wife of 50 years, Josefa; sons and daughters-in-law, Eduardo and Teresa, and Ramon and Kristine, and their children, Anthony and Danielle; his daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and John, and their children, Mikaela and Ben. He is also survived by his brothers, Alejandro and Juanito here in California; and his sisters, Manuelita and Carmen in Spain; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary, 2739 Panama Lane. A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 7100 Stockdale Hwy.
