Since 1977-78 I have been fortunate to have "Dr. G" in my life. In that time he not only treated me like a member of his family but did so with my parents, my wife and later when my children were born. The memories we shared I will remember forever and the news of Dr. G's passing has made it a difficult week for all of us.

Dr. G was a man who lived his life to the fullest and I always took careful notice about the ways he engaged his peers, family and friends. It was the same no matter who you were, what you did for a living or where you were from. Dr. Goldstein certainly had a zest for life, loved to be silly and be at the center of a joke whether or not it was a little dirty at times. He commanded respect because that his what he gave you. He was loyal, kind, sympathetic and someone I always looked forward being around.

I am so glad to have had him in my life as a young boy and later as an adult along with my high school sweetheart who became my wife and our two children. We shared many special moments together and I'm so glad that we got to spend time with the family on the west coast these past few years.

Anita, Madison, Parker and I send our deepest condolences to the entire family and I will end my saying what we always said to one another and that is, "I love you."

Dear Sharon and family , Words cannot describe the sadness we feel at the passing of Phil. We are out of town at the present but want to send our very heartfelt and deepest of sympathies. We will never forget his contagious smile and laugh along with his compassion for everyone he met. He was a true and gentle soul. Nick and I feel so blessed that God allowed us to meet him so many years ago. For this we are forever grateful. May God hold you all close and bring you comfort at this very sad time . With sympathy and deepest condolences Love, Christine and Nick Constantinides

Dear Sharon and family,

I'd grown up with Phil ("Pidgie") from Kindergarten through high school and his friendship profoundly changed my life, and for which I'll be forever grateful. He was a dear friend, always positive and supportive with a great sense-of-humor, just the best pal anyone could wish for. So many great memories.

I will miss him very much.

With Sorrow and Sympathy,

Memories back to the old Jewish Center on Collingwood. I pretended he was my older brother. We were not related but it was fun to pretend. My condolences.

Dear Sharon and extended family of Phil, we are so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. Please know that we are thinking and praying for all of you during this sad time. We will always remember Phil's smile, zest for life and professionalism. Phil delivered our daughter Lisa 33 years ago and what a celebration Rick and Phil shared. Sharon, we're hoping that family and close friends give you comfort at this time of sorrow.

To Sharon and family and to the entire Goldstein family and Phil's Friends: "A Band of Brothers": Phil was one of 9-10 of us who grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and have known and loved each other for about 70 years!"Pidgie"-That was the nickname I gave him long ago and doubt I ever called him "Phil or Philip"! He is, and always, will be a "brother of mine" until I, too am gone! A wonderful and marvelous friend, "brother" and person to know, and all the people knew, met, or came into contact, are better persons because of "Pidgie". God Bless Your Spirit and Keep You "Well"! "Philly J." aka Phil Joelson

Our love and support go out to Sharon, Kathy, Gary, John, Jill and your families. We loved Phil deeply and considered him & Sharon our extended family. He has been our friend for 39 years and we have so many wonderful memories and funny stories that will last a lifetime. With his passing, there is a huge void in our hearts. I truly believe that he is still with us spiritually and we can count on him to help us when we are in need just as he did when he was here on earth. Philsey, we will love you forever until we meet again.

Deepest Sympathy,

Rose and Cal Brightman

When I remember Phil, I think of those summer outings with the family. It didn't appear that Phil was much of an outside person so you would find him in the family room watching sports on T.V. I believe it was golf. I would take a break from the sun and go inside for a discussion of some sort with him. I always walked away a wiser person.

I'll miss the way he would look at Sharon. You could really see the love he had for her.

Dan, Jonathan and I send our condolences and love to Sharon and her family. Phil will surely be missed.
