Dear Nancy and Family
I was so saddened to hear of Bob's untimely passing. Bob was a model for myself and many other educational researchers who have tried to improve the education and lives of children. Bob's tireless work, always seeing a new horizon and moving the field forward will be missed. Sending condolences to you and other family members.....

Dear Nancy,
I was shocked and saddened this evening to learn of Bob’s sudden passing. Bob, you, and the early years spent developing and disseminating cooperative learning and Success for All were a huge part of my career in education and I have many happy memories of our time working (and playing) together. His legacy is the thousands of children and teachers whose lives were changed for the better because of his tireless effort. His life and his work have ended way too soon, but I know that many more children and educators will benefit from his work for years to come. My sincerest condolences and much love to you and your family.

It was truly a blow to hear of Bob's passing. He was a force of nature to help improve opportunities for kids who need a path to a better life. I read the story above of Bob's life and contributions and learned new things about his work to make the world a better place. Truly he made a mark on the world. One impression I always had from being around Bob was his passion: for the kids, for developing and offering approaches that really did work, and for doing research right. He really cared about important things. With my condolences and fondness, Fred Doolittle.

Dear Nancy,
The loss of a husband is a pain on one can heal and leaves memories no one can steal. Bob was a giant in education and research who empowered colleagues, teachers, students and all who knew him or benefited from his work. He was a wonderful and caring person. He will live in the memory of all who knew him.
My deepest condolences to you and your family from a former member of the SFA family.
