Carl Yarema Obituary



Carl John Yarema Sr., age 81 of Sparks, MD and Sebastian, FL died June 3, 2016. Carl was born in Michigan and lived in Sparks, MD for 50 years. Carl was of the last class to graduate from Sparks High School. He served in the US Navy, married his high school sweetheart, Eleanor McGinnis and celebrated 57th wonderful years together until her passing in 2013. Carl and Eleanor together owned Ridgley Liquors in Lutherville, MD for 26 years. Carl owned and developed many properties in Hereford including the Hereford Center. Carl was a past president of the Baltimore Co. Licensed Beverage Assn. and was a Mason, a Shriner, and a Rotarian. Carl is predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Yarema and his daughter, Elizabeth Yarema. He is survived by his son and wife, CJ and Cary Yarema of Vero Beach, FL. Grand children, Carah Yarema, Tampa, FL., Hillary Cappelen, Vero Beach, FL., and William Stanley, Asbury Park, NJ., Christopher Yarema, Key West, FL. He also has 3 Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the American Diabetes Assn. at diabetes.org. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Monkton, MD. Saturday, July 9th at 11:00am.

CJ, Doug and I just learned of your dad's passing. We are so very sorry. He was a wonderful man. We were just speaking about him last week wondering how he was. Again, so very sorry for your loss.
