Dr. Cohen,
I am so devastated that you are faced with such a great loss in your life. As your patient, I learned your wife's passing just recently. You and your children, as well as all of the family, will be in my thoughts and prayers. Reading the other messages, I learned that the world has been a better place because of all the ways your wife touched the lives of so many. Take gentle care of yourself.
Sincerely,
Mikki Buchness

Cindy was such a joy to be with. She loved her children so much and always told us funny stories about taking them to school in the mornings. Just can't believe you are gone. You are very much missed. You were always so happy. I hope you are always around in spirt to still spread your joy. You will never be forgotten

Cindy Cohen was my transplant coordinator more than 22 years ago. I was one of her first patients. She was amazing. A knowledgeable and competent professional and an advocate for me and other patients. Over these past many years if I needed her advice or intervention she responded immediately. Smart, funny, and a little irreverent, I could always count on her. I can't believe she's gone.

I was saddened to learn of Cindy's passing at the Donate Life 5k this morning. Cindy was my original transplant coordinator and even after she moved into another dept. she stayed in touch and even visited me when I received my transplant earlier this year. She was such a delightful person with a huge heart and a big smile. My sincere condolences to her family. I will never forget her. You are in my prayers.

Cindy was...kind, caring, sassy, smart, generous, headstrong, lively, witty, friendly, compassionate, hard-working, down-to-earth, adored her family, passionate about her job, hilarious, loved chocolate!, trustworthy, wise, and all around lovely. That's Cindy. I'm one of her students at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and was devastated to hear the news of her passing. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, medical professional, mentor, teacher, and friend. There aren't enough people like Cindy in this world, and she will be missed dearly by so many. My thoughts and prayers remain with her family and all who loved her.

Cindy Cohen was a wonderful mother to her two beautiful children, Emma and Jason. She was a devoted wife to her husband, and took excellent care of him following his injury, making sure that he was properly followed up. Everything she did, was done to perfection. She was very thoughtful and kind. When several of us received our masters degrees she arranged a very nice cookout for us at her home. On my milestone birthday in September, Cindy sent a huge flower arrangement to my house; it is still blooming.
Cindy was involved in everything; she had a number of Christmas celebrations for the CTC at her home. She taught at the Univ of MD. She could be called upon to help in the dept. Wherever she was needed. I am sure that Cindy will be greatly missed!
