Edwin R. Boyer Jr.

BOYER, On December 16, 2016, Edwin R. Boyer Jr. died of pneumonia and heart disease at the Charlestown Retirement Community, Baltimore, MD. Born and raised in Baltimore, the only child of Edwin R. Boyer and Edna Simmons Boyer, Mr. Boyer graduated from City College and later from Washington College. Upon finishing college in 3 years, he was called into the Navy and ended up in the Pacific after Pearl Harbor. He worked for Brown and Bigelow and married Marian Whiteford in 1950 and had three sons. He lived in Baltimore and settled in Catonsville with his wife and three boys. Summers were spent on the Chesapeake Bay boating, entertaining, and renovating a property on Bodkin Creek. Mr. Boyer is survived by his three sons, Edwin R. Boyer III (Nancy) of Lutherville, MD, Henry C.W. Boyer (Kim) of St. Louis, MO, and W. Scott Boyer of Towson, MD seven grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Slateville Presbyterian Church, 308 Slateville Road, Delta, PA at 11am on January 9th. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donation or gifts of Edwin R.
