I worked both with and for Jan. She had a wonderful maternalistic spirit that made her feel to me like a second mom. She was also cool as a cucumber, funny, and told it like it is. I will miss her.

Jan is remembered as a terrific advocate for the students and staff of Dulaney High School as PTSA president. I always enjoyed our conversations when she would stop in.

I was so sad to hear of Jan's passing. She was delightful work colleague and a VERY good friend. I loved her intelligence, her spectacular level of energy, her devotion to her family, and her wonderful sense of humor. This is an especially devastating loss to Peter, Susan, Adam, and David, as well as to Jan's wonderful, apparently ageless parents. My thoughts and best wishes go out to all of you.
