Aaron Etzler, age 38, of Flint, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026.Memorial service will be held from 12-4pm on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Flushing Moose Lodge in Flushing, 7044 Elms Road, Flushing, Michigan. Born on September 7, 1987, in Flint, Aaron was the son of Nancy Woodcock and the late Charles Etzler. A graduate of Lake Fenton High School, Aaron was known for his inquisitive mind and creative spirit. He pursued higher education at Mott Community College, the University of Michigan-Flint, and Davenport University. Also, at one point getting his EMT license. Then he went on to have a career as an IT Systems Engineer. Aaron was a man of many passions and talents. He was a gifted writer and storyteller who found joy in the world of computers and video games. His creative energy often flowed through his music and his skill at playing the piano. Those who knew him well will remember his love for rock climbing or hiking, as well as his love for getting lost in a good book.He is survived by his mother, Nancy Woodcock, and stepfather, Douglas Woodcock; his sister, Elyse Etzler (Mikey Sauers); stepbrothers Gregory Etzler (Dawn) and Jerry Etzler; and stepsister Danielle Etzler. He also leaves behind his aunts and uncles, James Coleman (Barbara) and Dana Ceresia (Joe); cousins Jeremy Coleman (Brooke), Nicholas Sheill (Danielle), and Richard Sheill (Sarah); and close family friends Paul Nasilowski.Best Friend and honorary brothers Ian Jones, Matthew DePalma, Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Charles Etzler, and his grandparents, Robert and Leona Coleman, and Joseph and Frances Etzler.cremation has taken place.
