McConnell, Sr Abraham Leo age 67 of Baltimore, MD formally of Shulerville, SC departed this life on May 26, 2016. He is a graduate of Russellville High School, St. Stephen, SC class of 1967. Abe served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1975. He was employed by Preston Trucking Company and retired after 25 years of service.He is survived by his loving wife Julian Rogers McConnell, and devoted children Keshorna McConnell-Gill and her husband John, Alia McConnell and Abraham McConnell, Jr. He is also survived by his two grandchildren John III and Kaniko and his siblings Ausy (Jannie) McConnell, Lorenza (Doreen) McConnell, Brenda (Bernard) Hawkins, Linda (Willie Jr) Levine, Chinette (Billy) Cattle; three brothers-in-law: Rev. Earl Beaufort, William Rogers, Ossie Rogers; four sisters-in-law: Deloris Rowlette, Silvia Rogers-Smith, Freedonia Hawkins, and Virginia Hamilton; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4th at Wesley A.M.E church Shulerville, SC at 1pm. There will be a Wake service held at McKnight Fraser Funeral home 406 West Ashland St. Andrews, SC Friday, June 3rd at 6pm.
