Ada Frenger

Ada Frenger, age 93 of Syracuse, IN passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 24, 2026. She was born on June 25, 1932 in Bremen, IN to Ellis and Florence (Sauer) Culp. On May 20, 1949 Ada married Robert “Bob” Frenger in Bremen, IN. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2015. She is survived by her children: Vicki Klotz of Milford, IN, Peggy (Russell) Slabaugh of Lake Zurich, IL, and Kent Frenger of Syracuse; 5 grandchildren: Melisa (Carter) Yocum, Amanda (Shawn) Freeze, Susan (Jordan) Gibson, Todd (Tori Dixon) Klotz, and Sadie Frenger; 4 great grandchildren: Robert, Logan, Nolan, and Adalynn. Ada was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; 3 sisters: Dorothy Rogers, Ruth Hill and Ida Weaver; and a son-in-law, Larry “Moose” Klotz. Ada was a member of the Union Center Church of the Brethren.  She worked at Coppes Kitchens and Homecrest Kitchens. Ada enjoyed playing cards at the North Webster Senior Center, traveling, and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 3-7 pm and Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 9:30-10:30 am, both at the Union Center Church of the Brethren. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am Saturday at the Church with Pastors Steve Norton and Frank Ramirez officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Center East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ada’s name can be given to the North Webster Senior Center.
