Adrian Puentes Bonilla, 70, of Perryton, Texas passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. Viewing will be Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, and a rosary and vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton, Texas. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.
Adrian was born on October 30, 1954 in Santa Clara, Durango, Mexico to Damian Bonilla and Maria Concepcion Bonilla (Puentes). He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton. He was a ranch hand, and his life revolved around his children and grandchildren. He loved horse racing and was a hardworking man.
Adrian is survived by his wife Norma Lira Alvarez of Mexico; two sons, David Bonilla of Perryton, Texas, and Daniel "Bonilla" Eller of Azle, Texas; three daughters, Araseli Bonilla, Yadira Bonilla, and Violeta Bonilla, all of Perryton, Texas; two sisters, Eugenia Fraire and Rosa Dawson; two brothers, Damian Bonilla and Cesar Bonilla; ten grandchildren, Jazelle, Alexis, Victor, Mia, Adrian, Isabelle, Averie, Darian, Denise and Jairo; and one great grandson, Izmael.
Adrian was preceded in death by his mother; and two brothers, Juventino Bonilla and Pedro Bonilla.
The family requests memorials be to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee, 38148-0142; or the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123.
