There are not many hands in this county that turned more wrenches/sockets than his. If he could not repair/fix-it....it was junk. To YOU my old FRIEND, THANK YOU for the good memories of our association.

Mr. Alan Hoke Leggett, age 76, of Fairmont, NC was born on December 2, 1948 in Robeson County to the late Hoke Floyd Leggett and the late Ann Catherine Lewis Leggett. He departed this life on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Alan loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also loved his church family at Proctorville Baptist Church and his dirt racing family.
Alan, called “Head” by many friends, grew up in Fairmont where he spent his whole life. He began working for his father and grandfather on the farm and for C.P. Leggett and sons building tobacco curers and servicing barns. He later went to work in the tobacco warehouse business in Fairmont and in Kentucky. He was one of the best in the business some said. He also worked on tractors, lawn mowers, and other equipment in the off season. That led him to his next career in maintenance for Jasper Textile, then Frank Horne Construction and finally retiring after working 20 years in maintenance for the town of Fairmont.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Strickland Leggett; his sons, Al Leggett and wife Christy, Judson Leggett and two grandsons, Ethan Leggett and Jaxun Leggett and two bonus grandsons, Damian Ransom and Charlie Vasenda; three siblings, Donna Tolar and Danny, Wayne Leggett and Fran and Grady Leggett, also a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
