Alan A. Sivers, 60, of Montrose, PA, was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully went to be with our Lord on Monday, June 2, 2025. He was born in Montrose, PA on June 17, 1964 to the late Duane and Doris (Millard) Sivers. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Edye (Hutter) Sivers; his children, Justin and Katie Huff of Etters, PA, Ashley and Joe Winkelbauer of Walnutport, PA, and Jessica “Jessie” and Tom Whitmore of Greene, NY; four grandboys, Mason and Logan Huff, Johnathan Winkelbauer, and Jackson Whitmore; three siblings, Sonny and Linda Sivers, Diane Truman, and Sue and Burley Myers; mother in law, Edythe “Mom” Dowdell, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, and an uncle. He also left behind his beloved boxers, Shelby and Lily.
Alan graduated from Montrose Area Jr/ Sr High School and entered the work field as a welder first before joining PennDot as a highway maintenance worker. Alan was an avid outdoors lover. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, classic cars, and attending car shows. Alan loved to go to Carlisle with his son and was looking forward to taking his grandboys. He was a Fairdale/ Forest Lake Little League coach for many years. He was a member of the Fairdale United Methodist Church.
Alan’s wife was his everything and their love was “More Than Words”. His family was his pride and joy and he always wanted the best for them and put them first. Some of his proudest moments were the day he married the love of his life and the days he walked both of his daughters down the aisle. He would do anything to make you smile including his witty one liners.
His passing leaves a deep void in our hearts; but his love, laughter and legacy will live on in all who were lucky enough to know him. Alan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many people’s lives he touched. To know Alan was to love him and to be his friend was a friend for life.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the Fairdale Cemetery in Jessup Township, PA. Pastor Dwight Addington will be officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Fairdale United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hunt of a Lifetime and Hunts for Healing.
