Not sure what to say?

Cele and family our deepest sympathy , Al was a great friend and person a man who was honest and had Integrity , he will not be forgotten.

I remember Al as a good and dedicated teacher and as a sophomore pitcher for an undefeated sophomore baseball team. His students liked him and respected him. I was sorry to hear of his passing - prayers

Cele & Family--Al was more than a neighbor, he was a good friend. We will remember all the good times we had traveling, working on the homeowners association, and just laughing and talking about our families, politics, and life in general. Al was quite the gardener and took pride especially in his cactus garden. Ceil looked forward to her annual amaryllis plant from Al at Christmas.

We hope your memories bring moments of comfort and peace.

Dear Cele I was so sad to hear the news about Al. Even though it has been forever I will always remember Sundays at your folks and the special relationship of the your family with my mother Elna and my brothers. I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you and sending my love to you, Chris and the family.

Al helped me grow throughout my teaching and coaching career. He helped girls sports grow and had a favorable vision while doing so. He gave me an opportunity to coach Fr. Volleyball for a few years which ultimately strengthen my
coaching career. He had vision and a no nonsense attitude. He was a good Athletic Director who had a progressive vision. Lemont was lucky to have him in his various roles.

Every year, Al, Bill B., Jim D., Eric M., Marv G., and myself would drive up to Milwaukee to catch a Cubs/Brewers game. The trip would sometimes include a dinner at one of the great German restaurants there. We had a blast- there was no holding back on some of the conversations!
In the fall, the place to be was the press box at a Lemont football game. Al did spotting: regular visitors included Eric, Dave F., and Marv. Despite some very entertaining banter in the box initiated by Al, we...
