Albert Patterson Jr

Albert "Al" Patterson Jr., 69, of Rockford departed this earthly life December 16, 2017 in his home. He was born November 2, 1948 in Durant, MS the son of Albert Sr. and Jossie Patterson. Albert lived in Rockford since 1965 coming from Durant. He married the former Calinda Parham June 15, 1968, she preceded him in death. Albert was employed by Chrysler Corporation 30 years before retiring in 1995. He graduated from CMI High School.Albert leaves to cherish many loving memories, his two sons, Jason (Ann) Patterson and Shayne Patterson; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brothers, James (Linda), Donnie (Rose), Rickey, Dewayne, Milton Patterson, Craig (Retha) and Calvin (Lisa) Patterson; sister, Bettye Sanders; aunt, Elma Bailey and uncle Leotha Patterson; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including god daughter, Sheneitha Hayes and special friend, Hattie Marlow. He was predeceased by his parents, wife and one brother.Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 2429 W. State St. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
