Albert Henry Rees, Jr., 94, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Born March 20th 1920 in Trenton, NJ, Albert was a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville. He was a graduate of the Lawrenceville Prep School, Princeton University Class of 1943, and went on to graduate from Harvard Law. Albert was a Veteran of WWII having proudly served his country with the US Army. He is a retiree of the State of NJ, where he was employed as an attorney. Albert was a member of the Nassau Club of Princeton, a former member of the Lawrenceville Republican Club. He had a true passion for traveling and managed to see most of Europe during his lifetime.
Husband of the late Maybelle Rees, father of the late Helena Rees; he is survived by his daughter Maria Meseroll; 2 granddaughters Lisa and Kristen Meseroll, his grandson Mark Meseroll and his wife Ashley.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10AM from Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church 1039 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
Calling hours for Albert will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 6-8PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Interment will follow at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
