Alberta Addison
October 31, 1948 – January 14, 2026
Alberta Addison, 77, passed away on January 14, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1948, to Herman and Agnes (Hoof) Addison.
Alberta was born and raised in Eagle City and grew up alongside her many brothers and sisters. She attended school in Fay, Oklahoma, and later continued her education at Riverside Indian School and Concho Boarding School.
At a very young age, Alberta survived a remarkable event that became a part of her family’s story—a F-4 tornado struck Canton - Eagle City, Oklahoma area on March 30, 1949. At 5 months old she was picked up by the tornado and carried for a few miles and dropped on top of a bush along a creek bed. She was found the next morning without any injuries, and it was then that her grandmother gave her the Arapaho name of Hisei - Ney'o'ooxe't meaning Tornado Woman.
She later married Amos Buck Twobabies Jr., and together they had three children, Gerald, Michelle and Troy TwoBabies.
Alberta eventually moved to Kingfisher, Oklahoma, where she became a resident of Cimarron Nursing Home. She was known by all who met her for her cheerful spirit and warm personality. Alberta loved visiting with everyone and brought light and kindness wherever she went.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and daughter, Michelle.
She is survived by her sons Gerald and Troy TwoBabies, and granddaughters Breana TwoBabies, Cassandra Jordan, Amy TwoBabies and Amber TwoBabies.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Concho ERC Center, with burial to follow at Concho Cemetery, under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Sanders Funeral Service.
Alberta will be lovingly remembered for her strength, her kindness, and her ever-present smile.
