Greetings from the Washington Family - To the Middleton Family
We are saddened by the loss of June-June. He was a friend of our family for life via Ronald, his friend and classmate. We thank God for the time he was here on earth with us, but he will surely be missed by his family, friends, the community and those who knew him. May God grant you peace, comfort, strength and grace for the journey ahead. Remember, God still loves us, and He will answer prayers.

Alex's Obituary

Alex St. Julian Middleton, Jr., son of the late Ellic and Rebecca Middleton, was born on February 18, 1955 in Berkeley County, South Carolina. “June June”, as he was known to many, slipped away into eternal rest on Monday, December 19, 2022 at his home.

Alex received his education in the public schools of Berkeley County. He was a 1973 graduate of Macedonia High School, Macedonia, SC.

 

Alex accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Bethel United Methodist Church at an early age.

 

Alex  was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Loverta B. Middleton on April 7, 1979. This union was blessed with three children.

 

Alex was an avid fisherman, gardener and an active member of the 41 Community. He was employed at Raybesto Manhattan, Gates Rubber Company, McElveen and Dicks Smith Chevrolet Parts Department until he retired.

 

He was preceded in death by: his loving wife, Loverta B. Middleton; his daughter, Angela Smith; his parents, Ellic and Rebecca Middleton and his brother, Steve Middleton.

 

Those left to cherish his memories are: his children, Jarrod (Alicia) Middleton of Indian Head, MD, Alex (Shenetta) Middleton of St. Stephen, SC and Alexia (Willie) Middleton-Amous of Moncks Corner, SC; grandchildren, Starr, Jordan, Amare and Amaya Middleton and Willie Amous, Jr.; his siblings, Sam Middleton, Willie Gus (Sheryl) Middleton, Mary Middleton Bishop, Barbara (Robert) McHoney and Joseph Middleton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Gethers Funeral Chapel, 221 Church Road, St. Stephen, SC. FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
