Im so thankful to have Alex in my life hes been a father to me since I lost my father when I was 18 years old He will be miss RIP Alex (Dad)

Was so sorry to hear about Alex passing, he was always so nice and welcoming any time we were in KC. We know he will be missed by all who knew him.

Alex's Obituary

Alexander Joseph Picone passed away June 1, 2025, at the age of 82.

Alex was born November 25, 1942, in Kansas City, MO.  He was a devoted husband, father and papa. Alex married Judy Kay Burbey on August 31, 1963.  This August they were looking forward to celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Alex retired in 2002 after working for 30 years at CF Motor Freight.  During retirement Alex pursued his passion for hunting and fishing.  When not in the duck blind or fishing boat Alex developed his woodworking skills to create “Picone Specials”. These duck calls were carefully turned and tuned and put to good use at Harry’s Hideaway.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents George Earnest Picone and Josephine (Cammisano) Picone; brother Vince Picone, brother-in-law Berry Laws, sons George and Vince; and grandson Quinton Picone.

Survivors include his wife Judy, his sister-in-law Pat Laws; daughters Josephine Biggs (JD) and Kathryn Picone; daughter-in-law Sherri Picone (Vince); grandchildren Judy K. Picone, Alexandria Picone (Jose), Alisha Picone (Cory), Gabriel Biggs (Caileigh), Rose Biggs (Max); 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, and nieces; and close family friend Stephanie.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
